Dear LLP hunters,
Below please find an announcement from Gaia about "FIPs in the Alps", a school on feebly-interacting particles to be held at Les Houches in May; highly relevant to LLPs.
Advanced PhD students and post-docs encouraged to apply!

Dear Colleagues,
"FIPs in the ALPs" is the first edition of a foreseen series of schools fully dedicated to the physics of feebly-interacting particles and will be held in the beautiful mountain village of Les Houches (France), from 14 to 19 May 2023, see the webpage:
https://indico.cern.ch/event/1247323/
The school is organized by the FIP Physics Centre at CERN and aims to embedding a new generation of physicists into the activities of the group.
Advanced PhD students and PostDocs are strongly encouraged to apply. Given the limited number of rooms, only about 50 young researchers will be selected.
PROGRAMME:
The School is organized along three main directions:
MeV-GeV Dark Matter and its searches at accelerator, direct and
indirect detection experiments; Heavy neutral leptons and their connection to active neutrino physics; Ultra-light (< 1 eV) FIPs in particle physics, astroparticle, and cosmology.
and has the following preliminary programme and confirmed lecturers:
Marco Drewes, Mikhail Shaposhnikov: Heavy Neutral Leptons in
particle physics and cosmology Maxim Pospelov: FIPs in the early universe Yevgeny Stadnik: Phenomenology of ultra-light FIPs Joerg Jaeckel: ALPs in the FIPs Stefania Gori: Phenomenology of MeV-GeV Dark Matter Gaia Lanfranchi: FIPs searches at extracted beam lines.
The format of the school consists of about 5 hours of lectures per day with plenty of time for informal discussions. There is the possibility for the participants to present their activity with a poster.
APPLICATIONS:
The applications should consist in 2pp (max) CV+motivation letter and can be submitted via the registration form at the school website until 15 March. The results of the selected (about 50) participants will be communicated by the end of March.
PRACTICALITIES:
A bus from CERN to Les Houches (and back) will be organized at the beginning and end of the school. The price of a single room, full board included, is 104 Euros/day. No fee for the school is foreseen.
Looking forward to meeting you in Les Houches!
