Dear all,

Hereby in attachment my full draft of my third PhD article. It explores journalistic narratives of impartiality at the RAI, the Italian public broadcaster and is based on 15 interviews I conducted last year on site. I am very much open to all types of advice in terms of argument development, academic literature I might have missed/ should engage with as well as the discussion points, so really all is welcome!  In terms of analysis, I kept many (long) quotes that I still might cut but that can give you a better idea of the different themes that were discussed in interviews and though could be relevant for my analysis.

So far, I have received feedback from Franz in terms of publication coaching on the draft and it is really not set in stone. It definitely needs more work, and I would have preferred to work on it more, but I have barely been able to develop further it due to a very busy teaching semester (also the reason why I am sending it today as I won’t have time to work on it later this week).

I look forward to venting with all of you about Italian “public" “service" “journalism”.

See you Friday,
Michael
