Resent-From: <Istvan.Mate.Borocz@vub.be>

Dear Istvan,

Thank you for sharing with us the STAR materials for DPAs and DPOs. The material seems to be wide-ranging and very helpful and it appears to effectively respond to the needs of DPAs and DPOs.

As previously discussed, Cyprus DPA is partner in another STAR project funded by EU Commission – the project TRAIN-GR-CY. In the framework of this project we are obliged to produce our own material that will be used during the training activities. It is therefore not possible to utilize other material during our trainings. You may find for your information the material produced in the framework of the TRAIN-GR-CY on the dedicated website http://traingrcy.law.uoa.gr/moodle/

I hope this will be helpful and remain at your disposal.

Best regards,

Maria

Dear colleagues,

besides the request in our previously sent email (please read below), in which we kindly asked you to review the STAR materials and share your views thereon, we would like to ask your further assistance. During the interviews you participated in last year you confirmed thatyou would be willing to test the training materials in actual training sessions.

As the materials are ready, we would like to kindly ask you to utilize them during your training activities to be held in the upcoming months.

Furthermore, we would be glad to join your event to see how the materials are performing in real-life environment and discuss your experience therewith in person.

Should you have any questions or require assistance in organising training sessions using the STAR materials, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Thank you for helping us develop and ameliorate the STAR training materials.

best regards,

István Böröcz – on behalf of the STAR consortium

Subject: [star] STAR's GDPR training materials for DPAs and DPOs available

Dear colleagues,

Under the auspices of the EU co-funded project, STAR (Support Training Activities on the data protection Reform), we contacted you a few months ago to provide feedback on your needs and expectations regarding data protection trainings and supporting materials. With this email we would like to let you know that based on your responses we developed:

  • 11 training topics focusing on the GDPR,
  • seminar materials (i.e. Microsoft PowerPoint presentations) for each one of the topics with detailed guidance for trainers and suggested reading materials,
  • training scenarios,
  • a takeaway reference GDPR checklist,
  • a ten-point GDPR introductory list,
  • an evaluation questionnaire for attendees.

These materials are freely and publicly available in a digital form at the project’s website: http://www.project-star.eu/training-materials .

To further increase the quality of the materials and to develop a supporting handbook for trainers we encourage you to use them during your training activities and share your impressions and opinion via email (link) or by filling this short questionnaire: link.

Thank you for helping us develop and ameliorate the STAR training materials.

Best regards,

István Böröcz – on behalf of the STAR consortium
