Dear Gábor and dear all,

I can confirm that no further amendment has been made to D.2.1 or to the spreadsheets after my email of 16/01/18 (D.2.1) or DBW's of 18/01/18 (spreadsheets), and thank you for forwarding the Latvian response.

Best wishes,

Filippo

Dear All,

We would like to start with the interviews in the upcoming days, therefore we would like to know whether the interview-questions and the other documents submitted by DBW are final or are there any changes to be expected? The interview allocation is of course OK for us, we make our task with pleasure.

Other: Latvia answered our questions, their e-mail is attached as well.

Best,

Gábor

Subject: Re: [star] Interview questions+allocation+contact lists

Dear all,

I have to confess to a mistake regarding Filippo's prior email about task 2.1 and 2.2 - When we were drawing up the distribution of effort, I managed to look at the wrong line in the budget!  So I gave VUB too many countries!

Please find attached a revised distribution of coutries. Could you please let me know if this distribution is ok by tomorrow (Friday 19th)?

We should also clarify that this includes responsibility for interviewing both the DPA of that country (task 2.1) and other stakeholders (e.g. DPO association, task 2.2).

Attached you will also find 3 files to be filled in with the answers given by interviewees (activities A.2.1 and 2.2):

    • Eventually we will reunite these in a single spreadsheet, but consider seperate files the best option for filling in.
    • The name of the interviewee and/or their affiliation go in Column A. We are considering the creation of an anonymisation code, but we will decide on this later on.
    • MS have been added already to column A for the DPA file
    • regarding the stakeholders' trainers and trainees files: we left column A blank
    • Should you consider necessary to add columns, please do it after the existing one (i.e. don't add columns between the existing ones). Indeed, once you complete the interviews I will paste the files together, and addition columns would make the work more difficult.
    • While adding further columns is possible, please leave this as a last resort. Please make an effort to insert as much information as possible in existing columns.

My sincere apologies for any confusion. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Best wishes,

DBW

Dear Partners,

I hope this email finds you well.

With regard to the interviewing activities (Tasks 2.1 and 2.2), we discussed yesterday that we would like both VUB and NAIH to undertake some interviews as part of these tasks.

To this end, please find attached:

  • the consolidated version of the questions, which you find in draft deliverable D2.1.
    • Please note that the file includes a few methodological recommendations to take into account before carrying out the interviews.
    • The introductory text for interviews has been amended to reflect these considerations.
    • Please note that a few fields of the file have not yet been filled - e.g. contributors or executive summary, as this is still a working document and not yet a final deliverable.
  • a table with the draft allocation of the interviewees (DPAs and DPO organisations).
    • Our rationale has been to keep together countries that may be more efficient to keep together (e.g. AT-DE, BE-NE, DK-FI-SE) and to take into account closer connections of partners with certain countries (VUB-BE, TRI-UK-IE, NAIH-CZ-SK). We worked out the distribution based upon PM allocation to this task.
    • We are, of course, open to requests to alter this distribution (e.g. swap countries around), but in blue you will find 5 countries that TRI would particularly wish to interview (DK-FI-SE-IE-UK), due to existing contacts in the public and/or private sectors.
  • the draft list of DPA contacts Gábor kindly sent yesterday.
    • We integrated it with a few minor additions of DPO association contacts.
    • The list also includes two new columns. One with the partner in charge of conducting the interview (same list as the previous attachments), and the other to be used for keeping track of the status of the interviews you are in charge of.
    • This file will be kept in VUB's repository

Should you find it difficult to contact any of the allocated interviewees, please let us know and we will do our best to get a working contact for you.

Please let us know if you anticipate any problems with this by Friday 19 January, so that we can all start get in touch with our contacts starting next week.

By the end of the week we will be in touch with a) the draft spreadsheet in which we will all insert the collected interview answers, and b) the draft documents for guiding the evaluation of the existing training materials.

Should you have any enquiries, please feel free to ask.

Best wishes,

Filippo Marchetti
