Dear all,
In anticipation of our next unit meeting, I would greatly appreciate your reflections on a paper I am currently working on. Please find the draft attached.
This results from the B.right Spaces project, investigating how civic space enables the promotion and protection of fundamental rights across several municipalities. The project involved numerous research activities (online surveys, expert interviews, focus groups, policy labs and study visits), yielding a lot of interesting findings.
My challenge has been translating some of these findings into an academic article that aligns with my PhD framework.
The attached document presents a first attempt in this regard. It only includes the sections prior to the empirical analysis, which I am still struggling to systematise. I would be happy to briefly elaborate on the results during the meeting.
Although the literature I engage with might be a bit outside your usual readings, I would find your feedback particularly useful on: - The clarity of the introduction - The appropriateness of the theoretical framework - Methodological considerations
Finally, my main concern is that I am still trying to include too much in one paper. If you (sadly) agree, I would be grateful for any suggestions on what to discard.
Thank you very much.
Looking forward to your feedback, Catalina
